Where do the Ryu Hurvitz Orthopedic Clinic surgeons do surgery?
Our surgeons have privileges at all Santa Barbara Hospitals. They also operate at the Summit and Premier surgery centers for outpatient procedures enabling them to provide a first class experience for the patients they care for.
When can I go back to work? How much time will I need to take off?
This will depend greatly on the type of surgery required and the type of work that you do. Please feel free to ask questions such as these of your surgeon so he can give you the individualized answers and care that you need.
How should I dress for my appointment?
Dress comfortably. However, for your physical examination, there are things you can do that are very helpful. For example, if you are having your neck or shoulder evaluated, it is best to wear garments such as a "tank-top" to allow the doctor to best visualize and perform a physical exam of the shoulder. Likewise, if your issue is with the knee or hip area, wearing or bringing loose fitting shorts to your appointment facilitates the doctor's physical exam.
